Job Responsibilities:1. Operate as a liason between PRC goverment regulatory authorities (such as GDCIQ & CH/GZ Agricultural Bureau) and the Club, especially with respect to the movement of horses between Conghua and HongKong and the maintenance of the Equine Specific Disease Free Zone (ESDFZ) surrounding the CRC;2. Liaise with Department of Veterinary Clinical Services and Racin Control at the CRC, advise the Stipendiary Stewards and relevant racing officials on veterinary health, medication, prohibited substances and horse welfare issues;3. Support the development/implementation of Equine Infectious Disease Surveillance Programs at the CRC, including related policies and framework that provide surveillance and reporting for infectious diseases;4. Support to plan and execute all regulatory activities related to CRC equine biosecurity systems;5. Continually promote, monitor and improve CRC equine safety and welfare;6. Implement, monitor and enforce the Club's medical and doping control systems at CRC;7. Review racehorses' veterinary histories and track work records and perform pre-race veterinary inspections for suitability to race;8. Perform any other veterinary regulatory function as required by the Club;9. Officiate at barrier trials and perform official veterinary examinations.Job Requirements:1. Degree holder in Veterinary Science eligible for registration in HKSAR or PRC;2. Minimum 3 years of equine sports-medicine or related experience; 3. Experience in racetrack or sport-horse equine veterinary science or, a willingess and aptitude for training in equine sport-medicine.;4. Good understanding of and enthusiasm for an qpidmiological approach to the monitoring and minimization of equine disease an injury in a thoroughbres horse population;5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Chinese and English.
